Our Origin

In late 2011, the First City Cycling Team management decided it was time to lead by example and contribute to the local racing scene by hosting a bicycle race.  What could possibly go wrong?  How about a snowstorm dumping 2 FEET of Colorado powder just days before the event!  Not to worry, the local cycling community rallied to plow and shovel the entire 12 acre race course to offer one of the muddiest races anyone from Colorado has ever seen.

Cross of the North has been held every year since 2011. We found our current home at New Belgium Brewing in 2017.
