FRIDAY NUMBER PICK-UP AND PRE-RIDE

We’re hosting a Friday pre-ride session from 3-4pm. Park in the eastern parking area as shown on the map. Access to the course is subject to the following:

  1. All pre-riders must sign a waiver before riding the course. We will have a volunteer in the registration tent in employee parking with waivers. At least, we expect the reg tent to be up by 3pm. If you don’t see a tent in employee parking, look around for somebody with a stack of waivers.
  2. Exercise caution on the course as volunteers may still be putting the final touches on it.
  3. Remember that pre-ride is open to riders of all ages and abilities, and this isn’t a race. Show courtesy and respect to your fellow pre-riders.
  4. Follow instructions from race staff. If a staffer tells you to get off the course…get off the course.
  5. If we are still working on the course when your pre-ride is done, it sure would be awesome if you pitched in.

Riders who fail to follow these instructions may be subject to disqualification without refund for Saturday and/or Sunday races.

We will have pre-reg numbers ready for pickup in the registration tent starting at 4pm, then plan to stick around and have a beer!

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

See our venue map

Parking

We have two parking areas as indicated on the attached map. The first is east of the race course. The second is the New Belgium lot west of the intersection of Buckingham and Linden. If you’re approaching from the east on Buckingham, you’ll see that lot first.

Please do not park on the south side of Buckingham between 1st and 3rd streets, anywhere on 1st/2nd/3rd south of Buckingham, or in the Odell lot south of Buckingham.

Race Registration

Same location as last year: the northeast corner of the employee parking lot off Buckingham St. The best way to reach it from eastern parking is to walk west along Buckingham. If you’re in the western parking, cross Linden and walk east along the north sidewalk of Buckingham, right past the New Belgium Liquid Center. The entrance to employee parking lot and race venue is about 200 yards east of the intersection of Linden and Buckingham (https://goo.gl/maps/i9H4mmNr8a12).

Registration closes 45 minutes before start time.

Start

The start is on the north side of the venue. From the expo area, follow the walkway from the northeast corner of the parking lot.

Do not ride west of the start grid into the loading dock area.

Pit

The pit is located east of the expo area. Power washers will be located near the pit for in-race use.

Restrooms

Portable restrooms are available near the expo area and the pit.

Beer!

Beer is available in the expo area and on the lime pile. Bring $1s and $5s, just in case. Those make pretty good handups, too.

Pre-J Race

The Pre-J race (for kids under racing age 9) will take place at 11:50 AM on both Saturday and Sunday on a truncated version of the race course. Start will be on the road east of the lime pile, at the same location as the Tuesday night Sendtown kids races. Register for free at the registration tent. We will also have a strider course on top of the lime pile.
